Savannah Johnston is an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. She received her undergraduate degree at Columbia University and is currently pursuing an MFA in fiction at New Mexico State University. Her work has appeared The Portland Review. Her research interests are indigenous identity politics, Native American film and literature, sovereignty law, land and water rights issues, isolationist/survivalist movements in the United States, religious cultism, and sociocultural criticism on television.
