Program: Ph.D., Rhetoric and Professional Communication.
Bio: In 2013, I received my bachelor´s degree in Communication from Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Puebla, Mexico. In 2016, I received my Master of Sciences in Strategies for Regional Agricultural Development degree from Colegio de Postgraduados in Puebla, Mexico. I have experience working as a Scientific Research Assistant for 6 years for Colegio de Postgraduados in different technical and scientific projects. My activities made me interested in the rural space and its people. Sometimes my job required me to travel to different rural communities located in the center of Mexico, like Puebla, Oaxaca, Veracruz, and Estado de Mexico. In this position, I worked with native species of corn, pepper, and beans; collecting statistical data, evaluating federal government programs, directing workshops, and creating video documentaries that would show the development of the different projects. The objective of my work was the DNA conservation and promotion of all these native species. In 2016, I spent two more years directing the Communication Department of Turismo Alternativo y Cultural, a private company that was interested in the promotion of alternative tourism in Mexican rural communities. My main tasks were the creation of marketing strategies, the creation of social media, corporate identity management, and socialization with representatives of different companies interested in this type of tourism. I want a better and equitable world, education is the key to it.
