The Nelson/Boswell Reading Series is organized by La Sociedad para las Artes, the main outreach organization for the English Department. Every year, the organization hosts free evening readings of national caliber, of readers who also offer manuscript consultation to graduate students and craft talks to high school students, undergraduates, graduate students and community members.

All readings are held Fridays* in the Health and Social Services Auditorium, Room 101A at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to all, unless otherwise noted. All readings sponsored by the NMSU English Department, Las Cruces Organization for the Arts (LOLA), the Southwest Border Cultures Institute and the Louletia B. Valentine Endowment.
*The November 19 reading this year will take place on a Saturday to align with the NMSU Hunger Benefit for Casa de Peregrinos. For more information on the Hunger Benefit please click here.
