Carrie Tafoya is a College Assistant Professor who has worked with undergraduates, at NMSU, since 2011. Professor Tafoya has taught Professional & Technical Communication, Composition 1, Writing in the Humanities and Social Science, Introduction to Literature, Creative Writing: Poetry, & Introduction to Creative Writing. She believes in the importance of creating safe, accessible, and inclusive classrooms for students at NMSU. Carrie Tafoya grew up in rural New Mexico, where she developed a deep appreciate for the land and the community. Her interests include contemporary poetry, feminist theory, speculative fiction, and horticulture.
