Tamara Anatska earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from New Mexico State University. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics and Teaching Foreign Languages, which she received in her home country – Belarus.
As a multilingual learner herself, Dr. Anatska has dedicated her teaching and research to serving culturally and linguistically diverse student populations. She has taught English to multilingual learners in secondary and post-secondary institutions in Eastern Europe and the United States since 2006.
As a College Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Dr. Anatska’s work centers on serving international and domestic multilingual students through teaching undergraduate/graduate writing courses, coordinating the English Language Placement Testing (ELPT) for incoming international students, and supporting International Teaching Assistants (ITAs) across NMSU campus.
